If you have a concern about your online security with us, report it straight away by contacting us on 13 13 85.

Top tips

Set strong passwords

The longer and more complex your password the harder it is for someone to decode it. A good password is:

  • more than 8 characters
  • made up of a variety of letters, numbers, symbols and special characters
  • changed regularly, and not the same across all your online accounts.

For more information see Set and use strong passwords.

Be aware of fake emails

Email has become an essential tool for communicating and is a convenient way to stay across all your bills and accounts, so it’s important to manage it safely.

We would like to remind our customers to take care when responding to any emails that:

  • ask for personal details such as your name, address, birth date or passport number
  • want payment information such as credit card details
  • offer something for free.

How we protect you

If you are a My Water customer we will always send you an e-bill notification email when a new bill is issued with a link to our My Water login page. We will attach a PDF copy of your bill to the email.

We will never include unsafe/unsecured links in our My Water email communications. We have made this decision to protect our customers from potential scams.

Our My Water e-bill notification emails to you will say:

'To view and pay your bills online you need to login to My Water.'

The link will take you directly to our My Water login page. We will never ask you to 'Pay now' directly from these emails.
