How to register for an online account
Registering for an online account is quick and simple. All you need is a copy of your water bill.
If you’ve recently moved into your property, you'll need to wait until you receive your first bill before registering. This is because you need your unique Electronic Reference Number (ERN), which is found on the top right-hand side of the back of your bill.
Who can register for an online account?
- Homeowners
- Businesses
- Tenants
- Property managers or agents
What you need to register
- A copy of your water bill, which has your ERN.
If you are a tenant, you’ll need to ask your property manager or the owner to get your water use bills sent to you. Please read tenant billing to find out more about how to arrange this.
If you are a property manager looking to start management of a new property, you'll need to complete the Start Management form to add a property. Once you've submitted the form, you'll receive the first bill for the property, including your unique ERN to register for an online account.
If you are a business, please use your water bill to register for an online account. If you use the ERN on your trade waste bill, you may only be able to see your trade waste permit summary without your payment, bill and water use information.
- An email address and mobile phone number, which you’ll use to log in to your online account and reset your password.
- Your ABN if you're a business.
