November 2023 - September 2024

What's happening?

We are constructing a new 1.5km water main in Dayton to improve the water supply and cater for future growth within the area.

Where is this happening?

The new pipeline will be installed in Dayton, Bennett Springs and Caversham within the City of Swan.

Map of the pipeline route:

When is this happening?

Construction commenced in late-November 2023 and is expected to be completed in September 2024.

How will this impact me?

As with any construction activities, the will be an increase in noise and dust in the area. There will be temporary impacts to roads, verges and pedestrian paths, traffic management will be onsite to safely direct vehicles and pedestrians around the work area.

Construction of the new pipeline will be via open trench and trenchless technology, property access will be maintained during the work. There will be no traffic impacts to Reid Highway during construction.

We understand and appreciate this may cause temporary inconvenience and disruption to the local community, we are committed to working with you to minimise this as much as possible.

Reinstatement following construction

Unfortunately our work will result in unavoidable impacts to roads and verges, although we follow a thorough reinstatement process to ensure all impacted areas are replaced like for like, where practically possible.

We will work closely with the City of Swan and residents to ensure all reinstatements are carried out to an acceptable standard.
