Map of North Dandalup Dam upgrades including road and carpark closure

When is this happening?

Work began in late January 2024 and will take approximately four months to complete.

Working hours will be between 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend work may occur, if required.

The upgrade must be carried out over the warmer months as rainfall can affect the work.

How will this impact the community?

During construction, Scarp Road along the embankment and the eastern half of the upper carpark will be closed to the public, inclusive of the lookout.

For cyclists, a temporary detour for the Munda Biddi Trail has been arranged.

Throughout the work, you may notice an increase in traffic and activity in the area.

Please note, traffic management will be in place to safely direct visitors and cyclists.

Environment
To complete the upgrades and maintain the safety and reliability of the Dam, some areas previously cleared will be disturbed on the western embankment. We have been working with the relevant government departments regarding the impacted regrowth. Work has been designed to reduce impact to the vegetation, as well as not affecting any Black Cockatoo trees.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work.
