A tropical Asian plant that can grow just about anywhere that is warm. Cultivars and hybrids include 'Golden Streak' (variegated green and yellow foliage), Green form (green foliage) and 'Silver Streak' (variegated green and white foliage). Delicate blue flowers are produced on fine stems in spring. These plants like warmth, humidity and coastal conditions but are very susceptible to cold and frost.
