Red Flowering Gum

Usually a small to medium tree with a short trunk and dense, dark green foliage that provides shade. In early summer large clusters of strongly coloured flowers are held clear of the foliage. When grown from seed the flower colour is variable. It may be pale pink, salmon, orange, red or deep red. See Corymbia ficifolia Hybrids and Cultivars for reliable colour forms.
