Lily Of The Nile, Dwarf African Lily, Dwarf Agapanthus

Very hardy perennials forming loose clumps of strap-like leaves and short stems topped with blue or white tubular flowers. Frost and drought tolerant. Sun or part shade, but much better in full sun. Good for a hardy, colourful border.

Cultivars with flowers in shades of blue include 'Baby Pete', 'Baby Blue', 'Blue Dwarf', 'Blue Storm', 'Peter Pan' (pale blue) and 'Tinkerbelle' (with variegated foliage). White flowered forms include 'Snowball' and 'Snowstorm'.

Warning: Low to medium harm potential. Sap and leaves can be irritants when touched. Some may set viable seed and concern has been expressed about the ability of these plants to become environmental weeds.
