A sprawling shrub to 1 metre high and 1.5 metres wide with long, slender branches with short, fine dark green leaves. In late winter to spring, small, white flowers, often tinged with pink, are clustered between the leaves towards the ends of the branches.
The cultivar 'Coconut Ice' is strongly tinged with pink.
