A clumping, bulbous plant with deep green, broad, strap leaves forming a mound from which stout flowering stems protrude in spring and summer. Several colour forms are available including yellow, apricot, pink and the most common orange. Clivias are one of the few plants that produce colourful flowers in low light conditions.
