A fast-growing shrub to 2 metres high and up to 5 metres wide with silky, grey foliage, a slight weeping habit and bright red bird attracting flowers in spring. Flowers best when not given any fertiliser and very little summer water. Cultivars include a green leaf form, a grey leaf form and a white flowered form.
