A small tree to 5 metres high and 4 metres wide with a rounded crown. Large mid green leaves, bright red when new, and clusters of white flowers in late spring to summer. May be pruned to shape. This plant may occasionally be available at general nurseries. 'Rubens' is a selected form to 4 metres high with bright red new foliage.
