Annual report

Take a closer look at our performance and achievements.

Our Annual Report provides our customers, community and stakeholders with information about our organisation, as well as an overview of our performance in core business areas, our projects, achievements and challenges and what we are doing to address them.

We measure our performance against the targets, objective and financial outcomes set out in our Statement of Corporate Intent which represents our agreement with the Minister for Water on our expected level of performance each financial year. Throughout the year we also track our progress through quarterly performance reports, which we provide to the Minister for Water in line with the requirements of the Water Corporations Act 1995.

Delivering safe, reliable and sustainable water and wastewater services across Western Australia is at the core of what we do. During the year, we supplied 361 billion litres of water to more than 1.2 million properties and collected 164 billion litres of wastewater. Our large service area, combined with the challenges of climate change mean we need to plan carefully to ensure we can meet the future needs of our customers.

We've carried out a review of the number of country employees stated in our Annual Reports and found the below anomalies in the 2013 and 2014 Annual Reports.

The number of country based employees was overstated, as it included a number of employees who were carrying out work in the country, but whose positions were based in the metropolitan area.
