Apprenticeships
Have you finished Year 10 and are ready to kickstart your career? Set yourself up for success with our structured apprenticeship program, combining on-the-job learning and study.
Earn while you learn
An apprenticeship with Water Corporation is like no other. You’ll work on state-of-the-art pumping stations, large-scale desalination plants and other critical infrastructure across Western Australia, all while studying a nationally-recognised trade qualification.
Depending on your trade, an apprenticeship can take between three to four years to complete.
What’s in it for me?
- Earn an attractive salary while gaining your trade qualifications in a mechanical, electrical or fabrication (welding) trade.
- Never be bored – get hands-on training and experience working on a variety of projects.
- Receive a nationally-recognised trade qualification (Certificate III) with all course fees and books paid by Water Corporation.
- Be supported every step of the way with experienced supervisors and mentors.
- Enjoy flexible working conditions, including 9-day fortnights.
- Opportunities to apply for long-term employment - many of our apprentice graduates continue to work with us as qualified tradespersons.
“The expansive network and variety of work means I'm never in the same place. I work alongside seriously experienced minds and really like that my job is helping to secure a sustainable future. The 9 day-fortnights aren't bad either!” - James Rogers, first year apprentice (electrical).
