Status:
In planning
Delivery Date:
Late 2024
What’s happening?
Water Corporation is planning to upgrade the water supply infrastructure in Ellenbrook, Aveley and The Vines to cater for population growth in the City of Swan. As a part of this work, we are planning to install 900 metres of new water pipeline along The Broadway in the City of Swan's road reserve.
Map of work area:
When is this happening?
Construction is likely to commence late 2023 and will take approximately 4 months to complete.
How will impact me?
As with any construction activities there will be an increase in noise and dust in the area. Traffic management will also be in place as required to direct vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists safely around the work area.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation whilst this essential work takes place.
Reinstatement
We follow a thorough reinstatement process to ensure all impacted areas are replaced like for like, where practically possible. Unfortunately our work will result in unavoidable impacts to roads and verges.
Once our new infrastructure is in the ground, the section of open trench along The Broadway will be backfilled, compacted, and reinstated.
We are working closely with the City of Swan to ensure all reinstatements are carried out to an acceptable standard.
Coordination with The Broadway Duplication works
The City of Swan are currently working towards duplicating The Broadway between Westgrove Drive & Maffina Parade (Stage 4a of their duplication works).
We are planning to install the new pipeline alongside this duplicated section of The Broadway in late 2023.
We are working closely with the City of Swan to ensure that we are minimising impacts to the community, where possible.
