Katanning to Kojonup underground pipe replacements

What is happening?

In 2023 we completed the installation of new pipeline along Pemble Street in Katanning and in private land southwest of Great Southern Highway, connecting to Kojonup-Katanning Road. This 2.2 km replacement of the Katanning to Kojonup pipeline in Katanning was undertaken to reduce the risk of future leaks and breaks.

We will now be replacing three sections of underground water pipe of the Katanning to Kojonup pipeline along the Kojonup-Katanning Road (near Katanning). These three further replacements will increase the reliability of water supply to customers. 

Traffic management will be in place along Kojonup-Katanning Road during the replacement of each section. We apologise for any inconvenience you may experience from the work. Please allow a little additional travel time and follow all directions and signage to ensure our workers and the community can return home safely at the end of each day.

When is this happening?

The replacement of each section will take approximately (up to) 5 days, with one section replaced each month. The proposed timings of work are:

19 - 23 August 2024

9 - 12 September 2024

7 - 10 October 2024.

Working hours are 7am - 6pm.
